I met Chloe in 1973. It was her second time as an au pair to family Quandt where my mum used to be the chef. It was friendship at first sight. We spent a lot of time together. She tried to teach me to ride without much success, but with a lot of fun. Saturday was disco night and we danced a lot. In 1975 she took me to her family. It was my first vacation in England. It was like coming home. Our friendship lasted even when she went back to England. We talked on the phone and wrote letters. She and Nigel were our groomsmen and in 1982 I became Rob's godmother. Together with my daughter Janine, we spent many vacations with our english family. Well, 47 years later we are really family. Janine and Rob are married and have given birth to two wonderful grandchildren. Despite the distance, we have never lost each other.
Now you left too early, big sister. But I will never forget you.
With love, your little sister, Christine
